Freshness Guarantee:
Unlike most baked goods in grocery stores that sit on shelves for six months to one year, our baked goods are made without preservatives and are packaged to stay fresh for up to one week if unopened. For this reason, we discourage Ground shipping to destinations east of New Mexico. In the event that your order arrives in unacceptable condition and you selected an "Air" shipping method, contact us immediately at (800)361-8292 to discuss re-shipment or refund options. It may be necessary to keep your packaging materials in order to process the claim if your order arrives damaged by FedEx.

Shipping Requirements for Chocolates:
If your order contains Chocolates, our shopping cart will automatically select 2-Day Air shipping for protection. You may also choose our Chill Pack (insulation with frozen gel packs) for an additional $3.95. If you select a different shipping method and/or omit the Chill Pack, your order will not qualify for our guarantee. All orders containing Chocolates will be shipped only on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Please be sure to provide a shipping address where someone will be present for delivery. See also Satisfaction Guarantee below.

PLEASE NOTE: Chocolate is temperature sensitive. In transit, temperature fluctuations can occur and cause some of the cocoa butter to rise to the surface of the chocolates or "bloom". This is a cosmetic issue only and does not affect the flavor or quality of the chocolates.

Satisfaction Guarantee:
At Allison's Gourmet, we stand behind our service, our products and our customers. This is why we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee behind every purchase. If you are not completely delighted with your purchase, simply return the unused portion within 14 days of delivery along with a note describing the reason for your return, and we'll happily exchange it or refund the credit card used for purchase, excluding shipping charges.

Allison's Gourmet Guarantee is void if any of the following is true:

  • If 2-Day Air shipping is not selected for Chocolates.
  • If the Chill Pack is omitted when ordering Chocolates .
  • If there is no one present to accept the delivery.
  • If delivery address is incorrect and results in a delivery delay.
Storage Recommendations:
Our products contain no preservatives; therefore we recommend maintaining freshness for bakery items by freezing them in a tightly sealed container or bag . To enjoy, simply thaw for 30 minutes at room temperature or warm in a toaster oven at 200 degrees for 3-5 minutes. Keep Chocolates in a cool, dry environment.
Food Allergens:
Nuts are used in our bakery; therefore it is possible that even those items without nuts may have traces of nuts. Due to the limited demand for 100% dairy-free chocolate, all suppliers of the raw materials for organic chocolate use equipment that is shared with dairy. While the machines are very carefully cleaned between runs, there is a chance that items with chocolate may contain traces of dairy even though dairy is not an intended ingredient. Chocolate chips contain soy. All baked goods contain wheat. Please use caution.
Order Cut-off Times:
Most orders placed before 9am Pacific Time Monday through Thursday will be shipped the same day. This does not apply to special or out of stock items. If received after 9am, your order may be shipped the following business day. In the unlikely event that an order cannot be shipped within three business days of order placement, you will be notified and given the opportunity to choose a different shipping method or to cancel your order.
Availability in Stores:
Due to our requirement that our products be enjoyed excessively fresh, we currently sell only direct to our customers on our website rather than through stores. That way our products don't sit on a store shelf and you're assured scrumptious goodies every time.
Shipping Method Options:
We use FedEx Ground and FedEx Air delivery services. FedEx Ground is a sister company to FedEx and does not guarantee specific delivery times. However, FedEx Air does guarantee delivery times, which correspond with the specific method chosen; therefore we recommend choosing FedEx Air options for delivery of our perishable products. Note that if we are provided with incomplete or incorrect addresses, all delivery guarantees are nullified.

Weather Delay:
If there is a delivery delay that is due to weather or any other cause beyond FedEx's control, the delivery guarantee is void. A delivery attempt will be made at the earliest time that conditions permit.

Transit Times:
When selecting a shipping method, keep in mind that the transit time begins the day after the order is shipped and includes only business days. For example, an order that is shipped on Monday via FedEx 3-Day Air will be delivered on Thursday. FedEx Air deliveries are the only options with guaranteed transit times. FedEx Ground does not offer definite transit times.

Deliver Without Signature Waiver:
Checking this box authorizes FedEx to deliver your FedEx Air shipment without obtaining a signature and signifies your agreement to indemnify and hold harmless FedEx and/or Allison's Gourmet from any resulting claims. This feature is only available for FedEx Air shipments.

Delivery Destinations:
We use FedEx services and they do not deliver to PO Boxes or APO addresses. Therefore, we are required to obtain only physical street addresses for delivery.

Required Delivery Information:
In addition to a street address, FedEx requires a delivery phone number in case they have a question about delivery location.

Address Correction Fee:
If an incorrect address is provided at the time of order, FedEx will charge an address correction fee of $10 - $15. This fee will be applied to your credit card.

International Shipping:
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not ship internationally.

Vegan:
Allison's Gourmet is a vegan company and thus all of our products are made without animal ingredients.

Kosher:
Each ingredient we use is certified Kosher. However, we have chosen not to opt for Kosher certification at this time because it is quite expensive and the premium-quality, organic ingredients and detailed hand processes we use already make for high costs.

Gluten-Free/Wheat-Free:
All baked goods are made with whole wheat pastry flour. Our Confections are gluten free (http://www.allisonsgourmet.com/vegan-confections.html). This includes our chocolates, caramels, fudge, cups, and barks. Items in our Organic Cafe (http://www.allisonsgourmet.com/organic-cafe.html) are also gluten free.

Sugar-Free:
Our goal is to offer organic, vegan desserts that are reminiscent of the chewy, moist texture of traditional cookies and brownies. Because we choose to eliminate animal products, the ingredients we do use are critical to creating that texture, which is unfortunately not achieved with alternative sweeteners.

Nutritional Information:
The specific nutritional information of our products is not available at this time. However, all of our items are free of cholesterol and animal products. This does not mean that they are fat-free or particularly meant to be low-fat. There are many products on the market that boast these claims - it's most important to us that our organic animal-free goodies use the finest gourmet ingredients and taste superb. This is why we search the globe for our superior-quality ingredients.

The Fair Trade Certified™ Label guarantees consumers that strict economic, social and environmental criteria were met in the production and trade of an agricultural product. Fair Trade Certification is currently available in the U.S. for coffee, tea and herbs, cocoa and chocolate, fresh fruit, flowers, sugar, rice, and vanilla. TransFair USA licenses companies to display the Fair Trade Certified label on products that meet strict international Fair Trade standards.
